When picking out your wedding cake, pictures are great, but our experience dictates that a well-done picture can mislead you. That’s why we have a large display of artificial cakes. Seeing the actual wedding cake makes it much easier to determine the cake style that appeals to you.
We’re happy to advise you as to what would look good. Try to keep strong colours such as black to a minimum on an edible cake. Food colours at times do impart a flavour, and it can be embarrassing to have your guests sporting discoloured lips that match your wedding colours.
A good choice is to accentuate your wedding colours using variegated roses and fine lacy trim (if you desire cream decorations) or use fresh flowers to complement your colours.
You should order your wedding cake approximately 2-3 months prior to the wedding. It is one of the last details in organising your wedding celebrations. This is when you will have confirmed your colours, the number of guests you expect, and the type of reception and catering you prefer.
